Successful Surgery For Stoner

Australian Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner, who sustained serious injuries during qualifying for the Indianapolis Grand Prix almost two weeks ago, received surgery to his ankle in his home country today.

The procedure was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Peter Lam and his team in Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital. Doctors are pleased with how the operation went, and now must wait during this initial recuperation period to see how the ankle is healing.

With no complications or need for the current World Champion to stay in hospital, Stoner has returned home and HRC will endeavour to share information on Casey's recovery as it is known.
