F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says that the Turkish Grand Prix could return on the F1 calendar, but only if the problem over the hosting fee is resolved.
However, Ecclestone has refused to write off the chance of the Istanbul Park race track making a return in the future.
"I was sorry when the contract ended, but it's always possible to go back to Turkey," ESPNF1 reports Ecclestone as having told Turkish newspaper Haberturk.
"I was sorry because it's a great track and Istanbul is a great city.
"Both the teams and the FIA were very happy to be in Istanbul. If the problem with the government over the hosting fee can be resolved, then Turkey could return to the calendar."
