Webber Loses Point After The Race In Singapore

Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber has received a penalty after the race in Singapore, dropping out of the top ten for being adjudged to have overtaken Japanese Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi while off the race track.

The pass came at Turn 7, Memorial Corner, when Webber went through on the outside line but ran wide on the exit. The Red Bull driver did not hand the position back.

A post-race drive-through penalty translates to 20 seconds, which means the Aussie drops to 11th place and that Mexican Sauber driver Sergio Pérez earns Sauber’s only point in Singapore.
