In the last four races Maldonado has been involved in three accidents, which have resulted in him being stripped of a point; reprimanded and fined and slapped with a drive-through penalty.
But despite all the negatives, he reckons he has what it takes to win the Drivers title and hopes to secure that title with Williams.
Speaking To AS, the 27 year old driver said: "I would, without doubt, stay there a while, a year at least. Before leaving Williams I would like to win the Championship with them. I would give the opportunity for this great team that gave me the opportunity to get into F1 for the first time, to win a world championship."
However, the Venezuelan has admitted that nothing is set in stone and that in Formula 1 you never know what might happen. With nine more races to go this season, Maldonado lies 11th in the Championship, having scored 29 points.
