The Williams squad lie seventh in the Constructors Championship on 53 points with most of the points coming from Spanish Grand Prix winner Pastor Maldonado. However, the team has been unable to come close to repeating that outstanding performance with their best finish in the next six races, Brazilian driver Bruno Senna's P7 in Hungary.
Bottas feels lady luck hasn't been smiling down on the Williams team in recent races.
The young Finn commented: "I think the results we've got in the last few weekends, we've been really unlucky. I think we should've had more points, there's been a lot of bad luck. The car has more pace than it's been showing.
The team has vowed to keep pushing in the coming races as they look to score some proper points.
Bottas added: "We are definitely improving and we are understanding much more about the car since the beginning of the year. The direction is right all the time. Of course other teams are improving as well, but if we can up the good work and if everyone keeps pushing I think we can still get some proper points."
