Tribute To Simoncelli At Sepang Circuit

On the eve of the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit, where the late Italian San Carlo Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli lost his life last year, MotoGP teams, riders and others from the MotoGP paddock alike paid tribute toSimoncelli at the spot of his tragic accident.

The starting point was the San Carlo Honda Gresini team pit box. People made their way on the Malaysian circuit to Turn 11, where San Carlo Honda Gresini team boss Fausto Gresini placed a permanent plaque in his honour. A moment of silence followed with a round of applause, then a two-minute silence. Team members and others of the MotoGP paddock then walked to the plaque to pay their own private respects.
