Dani Pedrosa's Best Season In MotoGP (VIDEO)

Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa enjoyed his best MotoGP season in 2012, winning seven Grand Prix races and finishing second in the Riders Championship. The 27 year old from Sabadell Spain was close to capturing his first ever MotoGP World title in 2012, putting pressure on his fellow compatriot Jorge Lorenzo up until MotoGP's penultimate round at Phillip Island in Australia. Pedrosa's second lap crash enabled Lorenzo to win his second MotoGP World title 'Down Under'. Things would've been different if the Repsol Honda rider was able to finish on the podium in Australia, with his Yamaha rival crashing out at the last Grand Prix at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. Having won the 125cc World Championship in 2003 and the 250cc World Championship in 2004 and 2005, the Spaniard has not been able to win a World Championship in the premier class of motor racing since he entered MotoGP in 2006. Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo, with whom Pedrosa has been competing with for many years now, have both won two MotoGP World titles each. Many believe 'the number 26' rider has got the talent and the speed, but are not sure if he's able to fight for the World Championship if he keeps getting injured. In 2013 he will be joined by 2012 Moto2 World Champion Marc Marquez at the Repsol Honda team, allowing Pedrosa to take the leading role at the team. The Repsol Honda team will appear at the next MotoGP test at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on 5-7 February.
