The family of seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher have released a statement on the official website of the German on Friday, his 45th birthday.
Fans of the 91-Grands Prix winner gathered outside the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Grenoble to show support and honour Schumacher, who remains medically induced coma following his skiing accident on Sunday.
Having issued a message yesterday to thank the people for their support, Schumacher's family replied again after seeing his fans turn up outside the French hospital today.
"We are overwhelmed. The incredible sympathies shown today by the Ferrari fans outside
the hospital has utterly overwhelmed us and moved us all to tears. We
are deeply grateful for it and also for all the heartwarming and
heartfelt wishes for Michael to get well soon, which have reached us
from all over the world."
