Note: Warm Up session was extended to thirty minutes to allow teams and riders adapt their bike settings to a new medium rear tyre with a stiffer construction as the already available and used medium and hard compounds were withdrawn by MotoGP's tyre supplier Michelin

However, despite the added track time, riders did not have the choice but to run the wet tyres due to bad weather conditions
