On Monday the Italian will be back in action at the Brno circuit as he'll get a chance to sample various MotoGP prototypes. Capirossi will get a run on a Yamaha YZR-M1 and a Honda RC213V and will most likely test the FTR and the Suter-BMW CRT bikes.
After retiring from racing at the end of 2011, the former Suzuki and Ducati rider was appointed MotoGP Safety Advisor, providing valuable input on matters relating to new regulations, safety, the competition in general and the homologation of new tracks.
Capirossi commented: "It's a great opportunity for me as I've been wanting to test the new 1000cc bikes for a while now. It's important for me to understand how the current crop of MotoGP bikes work, to better understand the feedback I get from the riders but also in my work with Bridgestone, following the development of new tyre specifications so I believe this experience will be important towards future developments in the MotoGP class."
