In 1954 and 1955, Juan Manuel Fangio won at Monza, driving for Mercedes, but the team is yet to celebrate anything more than two fifth place finishes since returning to Formula 1 two and a half years ago.
“I'm looking forward to getting to Monza on Thursday and getting the weekend underway,” says Rosberg. “After a difficult weekend at Spa, I believe that our car will be much better suited to the amazing and high-speed Monza. We will also have a different package there for the long straights, with low downforce required."
“We are continuing to work hard on improving our car and I'm quite positive about the news that I hear from the factory, although we know that it will be a tough job with all of the other teams developing quickly as well,”, the son of 1982 F1 World Champion Keke Rosberg added.
