Massa Back In Action At Interlagos

Ferrari's Felipe Massa got back behind the wheel at Interlagos, Sao Paulo yesterday. In a 1.4 litre 16v turbo Fiat Linea, the Brazilian competed in the Copa Fiat series, which was founded by himself and his family in 2010. This weekend's event at Interlagos, Sao Paulo marks the fourth round of this season.

Massa was delighted with the changes made to this year's car, setting the pace in both free practice sessions. "A great job has been done and the car is much improved, more stable and easier to drive. These characteristics are a great help to drivers who, like me, come from single-seaters," Massa commented.

Pirelli is the series' sole tyre supplier and this season the series has seen changes to the suspension, engine and aerodynamics.

"Today, having one set of tyres more than the others helped me, but I was not expecting to be quicker than excellent and experienced drivers like Christian Fittipaldi, Caca Bueno and Andre Bragantini, who are leading the championship. Tomorrow, I will enjoy the races as a spectator and it will be a lot of fun," the Brazilian said.
